How Far Is too Far?

I have a question that is pretty subjective. How far do you guys think is too far to drive/commute for a show's auditions/rehearsals? Personally, I try to keep travel time under about an hour, just because there's not much theatre community directly near me.

in my opinion i agree with you, you should keep it under an hour. i try to keep it 30 mins or less because my parents are driving me and i don’t want to inconvenience them, but if you are able to get your yourself to and fro then i say an hour or less. the only circumstance where i say it’s ok if it goes over is if it’s a professional gig which is when i say commute almost doesn’t matter in a sense because your getting payed and have to make big sacrifices like that. hope this helped :)
