How does one find a collaborator??

I've been writing a book and lyrics for a gay themed musical - I've done enough work to start looking for a collaborator to write the music, but I'm totally ignorant as to how to go about it?? Are there ads to place in magazines for "on spec" musical theatre writers? I need a collaborator who is really strong on melody and can write in different styles, for male voices. My writing has always been prose before this idea suddenly hit me and I gave it a try - I know it's egotistical but what I've written so far is really quite good. I'd appreciate any constructive advice.
