How fast do you type?

I type considerably fast for my age, or so I'm told. I think my speed is about 45 wpm.

70 wpm.

*edit*

The only reason I can type with any semblance of this speed is because in middle school I broke my foot and I wasn't aloud to go to my classes that were upstairs, so they sequestered me in the library. The computers at my school back then only really had typing tests, so I'd spend at least an hour or so every day taking typing tests for 6 weeks until my foot healed :0)

79 WPM. Just took another one it was 69 WPM. I'm tired now so that could affect it maybe.

My last typing test was 77 wpm with a 3% error rate. But my normal typing when on a keyboard I know fairly well is 95 wpm with a 2%.

Last time I checked it was about 75 wpm, but that was in my high school typing class, four years ago.

60 wpm according to the typing test I just took online, but I'm definately faster when I'm typing my own thoughts rather than copying something

Did a typing test on google...

79 WPM, 3 mistakes - 76
75 WPM, 5 mistakes - 70
80 WPM, 6 mistakes - 74

I'd say add a few WPM to the test I took cuz I had to click the text box, the timer starts, THAN I type (so time between clicking and going to typing), then after finishing there is time inbetween the last thing and clicking the thing to stop it.

Either way, when typing random stuff I'm copying, I'm around 75-80 WPM.

My own thoughts... I'm probably 85-90, since it's a hell of a lot faster when know what I'm going to type out. I'd even go as far to say I could type 100 WPM, since I type a lot faster when on messageboards or AIM than I did for that test I jsut too online.

You can also jsut random type a story you wanna make up or something you wanna say for a minute and it will tell you the correct speed.

I was 108 WPM, so I do type over 100 WPM when typing my thoughts.

However, I drop 20-30 wpm when copying some random paragraph. Still a fast typer tho, yay! The internet being the obvious reason, I'm on it waaay too much.

And I type really wrong also...I'm like a six fingered typer lol. I use use my index middle and ring fingers. I cna't use my pinky or thumb. Oh well...

95WPM but if I'm on AIM, probably closer to 110 (with substantially less accuracy).
