I'm only paying 1,200 a year for school and I'm upper middle class.
My Grandpa was really sly and got me all the Fafsa stuff because my dad works for him. I also recieved one 10,000 dollar scholarship from the school and I applied and recieved 6 diffrent performing arts schoalrships from diffrent foundations. It's all about applying early.

I was wondering the same thing of how to pay for these outrageous prices. For the original poster who wanted to move out of state, I suggest the University of Nevada - Las Vegas. It isn't all that much farther than Utah, but if I recall correctly, Idaho qualifies for cheaper tution through Western Undergraduate Exchange. I attend UNLV and like it here. Their theatre program partners with professionals in their productions and this year are presenting 12 productions including "The Foreigner", "Carnival!", and "Inherit the Wind" among others.
Anyways, I am very fortunate enough to be performing in Hairspray at the Luxor in February. So that will be how I will be paying for it.
