This week's AI reminded me of why I love her so much. Great songs, sweet personality, just an all-around amazing person.
EW has a list of their favorite Dolly quotes that are great.
My favorite: I think people take me as seriously as I want them to. They take me as seriously as I take myself — let's put it that way. I'm very secure about my talents and about who I am. But it's fun for me, and I think I'm fun for other people, and it's just an unusual kind of package, and why not? That I can look totally artificial and be totally real is perfectly fine with me.

Posted: 4/2/08 at 12:47pmShe's awesome. A great singer, songwriter, entertainer and an always delightful talk show guest. She has a quick mind and great comic timing. I remember when she ripped her dress at an awards show and came up to the stage clutching a coat to cover her exposed chest. She shrugged it off with something like "That's what I get for trying to put 50 pounds of mud in a ten pound sack!"

She seems like a nice person, but her act is so phony. When she said that Simon was good on AI because "somebody has to tell it like it is" or "tell the truth" or whatever she said, just proved what an act it all is for her. Like "Dolly" is a character she is playing.
