Except that:

1) When this decision was made, the president had no appointees on the Supreme Court.

2) It was the left-wing side that voted for this (Ginsburg, Breyer, Souter, etc).

Tough call Gotham-- Bush didn't appoint the supreme court, but the Supreme Court did appoint Bush!

If that's why you love Dean, then it's no wonder Bush must be a god to you. Sorry, but that Dean quote is a molehill compared to Bush's mountains of idiotic sound spews. If you think that one quote is enough to make "the liberal left" (careless euphemism for "Democrat"), then I'm sure you can understand why the rest of the world thinks the US is filled with lunatics for not only electing, but REELECTING someone like Bush. I mean, the man can't even pronounce "nuclear" or define "sovereignty".
