Hullabaloo meets Hairspray
Hullabaloo meets Hairspray#1

Awhile back I posted a Hullabaloo video from that website that I simply fell in love with.
When I first saw the video I thought it would look great if paired with "You Can't Stop The Beat." So that's what I did. Surprisingly I think it works.
I thought I'd share, enjoy:

Of course my favorite part is Donna McKechnie and Michael Bennett dancing together in the middle of it. Gives me chills.
Nice marriage of media, Mateo! I think it works too.

Thanks Best12! Glad you enjoyed it.
Why can't we have tv like this anymore? I guess 'So You Think You Can Dance' comes close- but it's just not the same.

Posted: 8/24/07 at 4:58pmI love it! The thing I love when I see old TV is the imperfections- there are times the dancers aren't EXACTLY in sync or the back up dancers are just standing there- little flaws. Today, the scene would be reshot a hundred times if needed to make sure the scene is PERFECT. Somehow a little imperfection makes it better to me- more real, more dynamic. I marvel when I hear about the old MGM days where they would shoot an "Extra" take even though they "got it" on the first try. Now, they shoot scenes dozens of times, from multiple angles. We give up so much.

Thanks!!
It also works if its synched with the beginning of You Cant Stop The Beat- but I wanted to have the music end when the dancing did.
I suppose I'll make a second version. :)
