"Hate" is such a strong word...

I'll just say this:
"I am annoyed by this obvious alter-ego of a current poster, and am shocked and amazed that it is possible to top the number of incorrectly spelled and grammatical errors that have come to characterize the posts of another newbie *cough*Liam*cough*"

Being involved in one of the threads that I think Undiscovered is alluding to, I have to agree. Someone's just messing with us and being silly. There's a line between fun and being blatantly offensive, which this isn't.

I don't hate Elphie. I think we should feel sorry for her... it's hard having oversized boobs and being pregnant when you're 10.

Seriously, I wouldn't say it's hurting the "integrity" of this board. I can see why people groan and go, 'oh, not again' but it's given us a lot of laughs as well. And it's nothing like some of the hateful, stupid posts I've seen...

I despise the obvious sock puppet who's just joined in order to harrass JJSugar. For that matter, I'm not too fond of JJSugar, but that's another story.

And amasis, it does hurt the integrity of the board. I've seen this before- sock puppets get out of control almost by their nature. Witness what almost happened with the BKLYN shill. These people need to be IP banned. Updated On: 10/20/04 at 12:20 AM

Plum -- I purposely missed all the fun with the BKLYN shill, and judging by your post, I'm glad I did. Truthfully, I also find the sock puppets (who came up with this term?!?) who register to harass and post offensive comments despicable. When I said it's not really hurting the board, I meant this one in particular. I have to admit I did get a lot of laughs out of his/her absurd threads -- and I'm hoping he/she will know when to stop. One of the things that I love about the boards is the humor and wit that comes along with it...sometimes from unexpected places. Obviously everyone has different perspectives on what's funny, but I totally believe that this whole thread was done in fun and the "sock puppet" behind it is just teasing playfully with us. There's nothing wrong with a little silliness once in awhile among friends.
