I'm so upset right now. There was a job listing I wanted to apply for and a note on the listing said resume reviews would begin on November 10 (tomorrow). When I went to upload my resume and letter today the listing was already GONE!!

I emailed my info directly to the hiring contact and indicated why I was doing so. I hope she doesn't have a problem with that.

I'm confused....did it say resume reviews would begin today, or they were accepting resumes starting today?

If reviews, it makes sense it was taken down. But if it's accepting resumes, than that's just tacky of them....
I see nothing wrong with emailing your resume in either case....shows them of your interest.

Elphaba, it said the resume reviews would begin today. In the past the job listings for this entity have always stayed posted until the position was filled, that's why I was so surprised the listing was gone before the day the reviews even started. I'm hoping it doesn't mean they filled the spot internally or have decided to leave it vacant.

It's just frustrating because I responded to a similar posting with another group only to learn after the fact that they give first consideration to in-house employees despite the open public posting = three weeks of hoping for nothing

Sorry, Yawper. It's like equity auditions--they're going through the motions because the auditions are required, but the parts are already cast, anyway, through exclusive agents and crap.
