Grad school auditions coming up, and I need a few good audition pieces. I'm so sick of the stuff I've been doing since high school and want some fresh stuff. I could really use some ideas!
I'm looking for an uptempo, acting-heavy song, preferably in bass range but up to tenor is fine. Also two monologues. I've got everything else covered.
I'm done with doing the stuff that everybody does but convinces themself is original or cutting edge. I've been there, done that with all the JRB and Finn stuff, etc. I love stuff from obscure song cycles and chamber musicals.
As far as monologues go, I'll take just about anything good and not overdone at this point.
If anyone could help I'd sure appreciate it!
