For those people who aren't in San Francsico, or couldn't get to the rally at City Hall tonight, a woman (didn't hear her name) sang "I Know Where I've Been". It was incredible.
Thanks, Marc and Scott, for writing such an amazing song.
Unfortunately, Mayor Newson wasn't there. I think it was an impromptu thing.

Posted: 11/6/08 at 11:54amThat is awesome. Such a moving song.... and so appropriate. I hope that there is a way to end this discrimination.

I've been hearing and reading a lot of news about gay people being the primary failure in Prop 8. The word on the street is they thought it was in the bag because CA is so "liberal."
Never underestimate the mixing of church and state.

Posted: 11/6/08 at 12:21pmTo his credit it was VERY difficult to hear and see if you weren't on the steps. I couldn't see her myself, but caught her name when she was intro'd, and recognized her voice, (She was louder than other speakers)

It sure didn't look like Margaret Cho to me. I saw a white woman in a wedding dress, and heard her talk about her wife.

I don't believe for an instant that 'gay people were the primary reason' the battle against Prop. 8 failed because "California is so liberal it's in the bag".

Hmmm, I was told that was who it was, thought I heard her intro'd and it sounded like her, but from my vantage point couldn't see. My PMs used to be on, I'll see if I can fix that.
Edit:
PMs Fixed.
