There's nothing to really say to that. If he believes that, you and no one else will be able to change his opinion. You can point out that that is hardly an argument though.

aww thanks KMF, I'm no longer wasting my time with him. He ran out of ideas when I proved that no where in the Constitution does it say a man and a man (or woman and a woman) cannot get married. He just said "dude! it's wrong!" Some intelligence there.

Well I think it's funny when a Nazi like Guliani (albeit a good taskmaster; despite some questionable things, he did do a lot of good things for NYC) is considered too liberal for the Republican base.
People like Papa and LG ought to look to that as a sign that their party is definitely not headed in a good direction.

LOL! LG, The cause you'd be quitting is bigger tax cuts for the wealthy, underfunded education policies and constitutional amendments based on a moral code that not the entire country follows.
SO keep the faith, dearie. I'm very glad that they've got people like you willing to fight from the inside. Do let me know how that goes for you, eh?
In the meantime, my uninsured, gay ass will continue to support the candidate who doesn't want to discriminate against me and has offered me the most likely means of finally getting health care I can afford.

The cause I would be quitting does not just focus only on the middle class, but all social classes as a whole. Say what you want about it being just about the rich. The cause that I would be quitting does not believe that a person with different color skin needs some sort of 'help'. The cause that I would be quitting does not wait for approval of selfish countries, encourages self independence, and the cause that I would be quitting is one that I identify with in so many ways.

Unfortunately, there is one reason I'd ever want to quit.

But I never will. Staying in the Republican party and trying to bring about change will make me happier than voting for a president for one reason- which he doesn't even support.

And another thing is that Democrats don't tend to look at the whole picture of America in terms of the people who are in it. I'm not closed-minded.
