I am now a believer in hypnosis. I always thought that it was a bunch of BS, but tonight they had this guy come to campus and they did a hypnosis show. I got to be one of the volunteers. My husband is still laughing at me.
Its so weird because you know what you are doing when you are doing it and it seems perfectly normal. He had us visualize that we were at a beach and that it got really really hot really fast. He said that the temp went up to 120 degrees. I started sweating and started trying to pull my hair up from the back of my neck. Then it got really cold really fast and it really felt like it was freezing! I shaved my legs this afternoon, and as most ladies (and some men) can argee if you get cold and get goose bumps it seems to make your leg hair grow a bit. When I got doen from the stage I was a bit stubbly.
This was the craziest thing ever. When he is not working with the whole group and is focusing on just one person you are "awake" and aware of what is happening to you. You will laugh at them just like the audience, but when he says something he has suggested to the whole group it is like you just snap to attention and can't stop laughing or getting scared of the "Snake" aka belt. It was great. Another benifit is that I feel like I just got 8 hours of sleep. I am not tired at all. Well that may not be a good thing because I need to get some sleep tonight, but still- this was a very fun night.

"All the while making faces like a baby platypus who forget to take some Beano before eating a chimichanga." FindingNamo in reference to Jessica Simpson's singing.
