I have lived in my apartment for the past year, and I really like it, especially my large room with a bay window. I've decorated it to my tastes, and I feel comfortable there. I look forward to spending my last year in College there.
Both of my current roomates are moving out, and I have two roomates who are moving in. The lease is signed and the deposits are in. The two other rooms are a large one like mine, and a smaller bedroom that isn't too small, but still much smaller than the other two.
One incomming roomate claimed the big room, and the other was content with the small one until recently. Both of them absolutely want the big room and will not settle for the small room. One of them called me today and proposed an offer. If I agree to move into the smaller room they will cover half of my portion of the rent.
On the one hand: Moving is a pain in the butt, even if it is down the hall. I love the room i'm in. I worked hard to make it look good. (everyone compliments my decor) I bought furniture for my room and I won't be able to fit it all into the smaller room. I wanted a place to settle while I was in college and I found it.
On the other hand: Being that this would be my final year of college, I really need to save money since I'll be moving away in a year. I could put more money towards paying off my credit cards. Also I was trying to budget so I could afford a NYC trip to see friends over Thanksgiving.
I'm looking for your imput. What would you do?

"If this is going to be a Christian nation that doesn't help the poor, either we have to pretend that Jesus was just as selfish as we are, or we've got to acknowledge that He commanded us to love the poor and serve the needy without condition and then admit that we just don't want to do it." -Stephen Colbert
