Posted: 7/1/05 at 10:59amI think I have an addiction problem or something. I can't stop buying cast recordings. My collection is so out of date, and I had a 2 year period where I swore of musicals, and now I can't stop buying cds! Amazon's Marketplace and Half.com have cds so cheap I just buy and buy. Anyone else had or have this problem?

I'm so behind on what I have, and also need to get on cd what I only have on tape or lp. I'm buying the cheap stuff first, and will then move on to paying 40 bucks for 110 in the Shade, etc. Oy.

This is no cause for alarm. Soon you will run out of money and you won't be able to buy food and you will die.

Posted: 7/1/05 at 11:31amShe's a terrific talent but she sounds like a club singer, very out of period. She had replaced Gisele Mackenzie early in the piece so all the keys were taken down for her. When her understudy Ellen Hanley, who was a soprano, took over from Polly the keys all went back up again and from all reports the show worked much better.

Yeah, I'm going to stick with American recordings for now, then move onto the long list of other things I need.
