I finally had the chance to try the Ipad out the other day at The Apple Store. I don't get it. I really don't. Are people going to dish out 500 bucks for what literally is a larger version of an Iphone/Ipod touch? I mean yes, they did update some of the touch screen technology. But, for the most part, Apple didn't reinvent the wheel here.
I do remember talking to my friend prior to them announcing the Ipad, that we both felt that one of these days Apple is going to release a product that really serves no purpose other then just looking cool. I think, that the Ipad is that product.

If people feel like they want to buy it, then they'll buy it. It's as simple as that.
Did I need an iPod Touch? No. Did I want an iPod Touch? Yes. Do I have an iPod Touch? Yes.
Same thing can be said about the iPad. Do I need it? No. Would I want it? Yes. Will I buy it? No.
Really, the iPod Touch is the same as the iPhone without a few bells and whistles. Nobody complained there, and if they did, everyone has gotten used to it. I'm sure the iPad will just settle in as another Apple product people don't need but would be cool to have.

What I don't understand is why it is treated like a news item on news shows. The hosts will say something like "We normally don't shill products, but the ipod is so cum all over yourself cool that we are willing to throw out our scruples for it." I just don't get what's so cum all yourself cool about it. I guess because they got one free? "Modern Family" did a commercial masquerading as an episode, too.
I don't understand the people who waited in line for hours/days when they already ordered them.

I just recently lost my iPod during my move and it's like a just lost a piece of myself. It had over 200 albums and all 4 seasons of Doctor Who on it and now all gone. *CRIES*
