at long last I did it, I cut my hair! Eight inches lopped of and now in choppy layers. Still not use to it being so short.

Fantine, you'll get used to it. I just hope you got a good price for it. Tough luck on that factory gig though.

That's great. And sometimes change is a very welcomed and good thing.
Well cookie is right it will be great for the summer, come next winter I may miss all that extra warmth!
cookie, we are talking 8 inches here!! I'll be lucky to have 1 inch by Fall. I think it may be back to turtleneck sweaters for me.
And that's what scarves are for! Especially cashmere ones!
Ooooh I do like scarves and I REALLY like cashmere... Hmmm maybe some good will come of this short hair thing!
another shopper enabled...
My work today is done...
And a job well done at that, but RoadCase may have something to say about that!
Jeez, mom, you make it sound like someone blindfolded you, threw you into the back of a van, and when you were let go on the side of the road, you had 8 inches of hair cut off.
LOL!! I know Rath, I really do like it, but it is such a change for me! I t is also a new shade of red, so I am also getting use to that as well.

hooray for you, mom! Does the cut 'n color make you feel sassier?
Well, I have always been a bit on the sassy side, I do feel a lot lighter though.
I for one like the new look! She's only been trying to get the courage up for the change for about three years.
(And I'll probably even look the other way when scarf season comes around.)

As someone who experienced super short hair in the MA winter: Buy a hat! It's FREEZING once it gets cold. But you'll be so much cooler this summer! It sounds absolutely fabulous tho!
Sounds really cute!
I think I'm gonna get my hair cut like that for summer too, but maybe not since I want to have it long for fall and winter (I live really close to Mom).
Hope you're loving the change.
M_n, I am getting use to the change, I do like it.
Yes winters are cold here in MA, so it's a good thing that RC will look the other way when scarf season is upon us.
