Okay...I won't go too into details, but I somehow got tickets to see Mamma Mia tomorrow night. The lady gave us the seats and said they were center mezzanine and they were good seats. I was bored and decided to check out the seating charts. So I'm reading it and I'm looking for our seats and just went "F***, these seats are...terrible." They're ALL the way over to the left. Because of this my mom doesn't wanna pay for my ticket and all the hassle of getting into the City. *rolls eyes* If you were in my shoes, would you still go? I rarely get to see shows...ugh. What should I do?

Never mind...the frickin' guy on the phone was like-- oh, the lady was confused. So now I'm not going. Damn it...why does this bother me so much? It's only a show, it's only a show, it's only a show...

If it was a show I really wanted to see, yes.

MAMMA MIA? You're better off not going...

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Haha...it's not the show. I personally could care less about Mamma Mia, but both of my parents hate the city, so I NEVER get to go. And I finally got the chance. *shakes head*

I'm listening to Spelling Bee right now, and want to see it SO badly. But no, Godforbid my mom or dad go into the city to see something. They think it's hazerdous to their health. Ugh-- I can't wait til I can drive...

oxdreaminxo- I had the same exact issue with my parents. I don't think I ever remember going to the city with them. Last year during winter break I had tix to go see Wicked because it was what I asked for as a b-day present. Since then I have gone with them into the city two more times and we are planning to again for my birthday this year. They totally changed their minds about the city.

How old are you and do you live close enough to Manhattan? If you are old enough, you can learn how to take public transportation into the city. That's what I do (in Chicago) when I want to go to the city to see a show because my parents hate going to the city.

I'm 14, and I am close, as I live in NJ. I don't think my parents would let me go myself though. >.<

Thanks. I need to make the shirt since it only comes in men's sizes. I love it.

My parents are very protective. I'll be 19 very soon and it was a struggle to be able to get permission to take the train alone and then meet people at the station.

If she wishes you lived in a bubble being able to drive won't make a difference. I had to gain the assurance of my parents that I could handle driving in the rain, driving long distances, driving to places far alone... and I'm still in the process now. I still can't drive far at night alone without at least another one of my friends.

How old are you? If you're old enough, why can't you just jump on a bus and do it yourself? Or go with friends....?

Since you're in NJ... if they don't like DRIVING into the city (my parents didn't like it, either), why not take the train? It's not too expensive, and it's really easy...

This isn't about lieing, it's more about uninformed people at telecharge.

There is a discount code for a show but it's not good for the 1st 10 rows in the orchestra or the rear mezzanine (46.25)

So I called telecharge to see if there were any discount seats left and he looked it up and said something like "We have no discount seats left in the orchestra or front mezzanine but WITH YOUR DISCOUNT code, the rear mezzanine seats are 46.25. I was like "Ok thanks" I wanted to say "Thanks for the wrong info"

I went back and looked at the code and the information and it said the same exact thing that I knew it said and that I wasn't dreaming.

Sometimes I wonder about those people...
