I am looking for a good song to audition with for Singing in the Rain. There aren't that many people at my school, so I'm actually seeing it as a possibility for me to snag the Don Lockwood (Gene Kelly) role. They don't really want us singing songs from the show, but I am looking for something along the lines of the song Singing in the Rain.

It's hard to suggest audition songs for you sing I don't know you personally. My recommendation is do a search for shows that were written around the same time as "Singing in the Rain" and see if you like any of those songs.

A song from another Kelly musical/movie is always a good idea e.g. title song from Me and my girl, "I like myself" from It's always fair weather or "Our love is here to stay" from An American in Paris.
