Hope it is okay to share something personal with y'all.

I have just lost a good friend. A girl I went to high school with (thus I known her for 13ish years). Somebody my age (29). She died in her sleep. She was my bloody age and she died. I am to be honest numb about it all. I'd say something but I just don't know what to say. I cannot wrap my head about it, it doesn't seem real, it certainly doesn't feel right and good God I don't know what to think which is just the worst of it.

The funny if weird thing is, that one lyric from 'RENT' is just going through my head. In a way I have been able to at least maintain some of my sanity but repeating that in my head. It is strange, I have been quiet vocal in not being a fan of the show (though the message behind the show I have always thought as being beautiful). No day but today, live each day as if it was your last.

I am trying to move on the only way I know how - try to make something positive out of all this mess. It is the way I deal with things, always have. Make that as you will. I guess I don't quiet understand it myself, but I also suppose it is better then just sitting there. I just cannot sit.

AnywayI have been bandying around my own version of 'things to do list' for about a year now (I refuse to call it a bucket list). This list now isn't about doing a few different interesting things - it is now experiencing all that this fragile speck of dust we live on can give. If you have any ideas, please suggest, I'll add, I'll expand, I'll love you for it.

Maybe I'll share what I have at one stage if anybody is interested.

I am not sure if this thread even has a point, but thank you for reading. Sometimes you just have to share.

First off - I am so sorry for your lost. It's sad when anyone dies but, to me, it's a tragedy when someone so young dies. When I was 22 someone I went to high school with died in a car crash in the NJ Pine Barrens. It's so sad to think how much they missed.

I'd love to hear your list. Also, perhaps you could ask around and see if anyone knows of things she wanted to do but never did. Then you could do them in her memory.
