I know it's half past Deena Jones already, but...

This is Beyonce from her concert, doing a tiny part of the Broadway Act II opening arrangement of the Vegas Medley (not seen in the film). It kinda makes me feel that she should have been allowed to "go this far" with the character's confidence and star power. God knows, she's god it! I would have loved something like this to have been in the movie.

As much as I enjoyed DREAMGIRLS, I felt there was a lot lacking. Frankly, I found the novelization more fulfilling in a way. It covered a lot that the film didn't. If I'd had my way, I would've filmed the novel instead of the final screenplay.
