Ok, I needed to share this with anyone. I went the other day to look through the old vinyl records they sell at the local Salvation Army. I found the original Cabaret but it was a little beat up so I continued to look and found one that was so much nicer. Well, I get home and take out the record and what do I find but a playbill from the original production with the original cast! There was even a slip that said something along the lines of: At this performace the role of Clifford Bradshaw will be played by Edward Winter. I love Salvation Army!

That's so cool! I love that place, too. It's where I do all my back-to-school shopping. I used to be ashamed of it, but now I don't care. They have way too much cool stuff!

That's awesome! Salvation Army can be lots of fun...once a month one of my friends and I devote an entire day to shopping there...some of the things we find are priceless!
they are one of the most homophobic organizations on the planet. I don't go near them.
There are enough other organizations with resale shops that are friendly towards ALL people.

Please try Goodwill. Same concept, very different philosophies.
Just one example - they denied aid from their 9/11 relief fund (which was derrived from donations specifically for that purpose) to anyone identified as gay.
I avoid the Salvation Army as well. For one, even after their Western Conference approved domestic partnerships, the National organization rescinded on the decision.
Yea, I am surprised that they even accept OBC recordings they are so anti-gay.
Yes, Please try the Goodwill. I got a wonderful Oleg Cassini blouse.
