LOL Millie!
Separate Tables...
Do I spy Gladys Cooper there?
You do, indeed.
And NOBODY played "controlling mother" like the Great Gladys!

Julie and Gladys together in the same thread. Shame it wasn't in the film version of MFL.
Mother of Henry, Mean-ass Nun and Mother from hell of Charlotte.
Wow!
Oooo I just discovered this thread! Deborah Kerr is indeed BRILLIANT. Love her so much!! And I remember the first time I watched Julie and Carol and they mentioned her and I just cracked up.... It was just so cool that they, like me, considered her to be the epitome of class.

I had to... Now tell me that is not absolutely gorgeous!
And then there's Deborah and Haley in THE CHALK GARDEN.
How does that grab ya?

That lavendar gown from THE KING AND I has always gotten my vote for favorite costume in a movie. When they really start to fly, and that dress goes into full motion, it takes my breath away EVERY time!
How gay am I?
*stretches arms WAY out to each side*
THIS gay.
(me too)
I'm pretty sure that dress is in the Smithsonian now. Yul's silk robe however was saved from the trashcan a few years ago. People thought it was an old makeup robe or ladies bathrobe and it was sitting in a trash bin, ready to go out on the street. Until somebody bothered to read the "Yul Brynner" tag sewn into it, and put two and two together. How tragic is that?
And how GAY is it that I know this??
"look, miles! you see her don't you?! tell me you see her!!"
Aaaaaahhhhhh!!!!!
yay!! she was magnificent in that!
