I'm a little nervous. Audition on Tuesday for Peter Pan.

Can someone quell my anxiety, please?

I have faith in myself and in my voice, but I've never taken vocal lessons before this year. I do know how to control my pitch and stuff....

But I'm just nervous.

Also, would it be presumptuous of me to wear a green headband and green shirt? LOL....

Well, EYE-DEEEEE-NA (to use the vernacular) wore green make-up when auditioning for 'Wicked'. As long as you're wearing clothes that happen to be green, rather than going in dressed as Peter Pan, then it's quite a nice touch, IMHO.

There's very little can be done to quell audition anxiety. I like to remind myself that the auditioners understand that an audition is a high-stress situation so won't be massively hung up on what exactly you do on the day, as long as they get enough of an idea of what you *can* do. They want you to do well so that they can cast the damn show, just remember they're on your side! And take a good mouthful of water *just* before entering the room; drying up can be a killer. XP

Don't give up though!! Keep auditioning as much as you can to get experience. Keep on taking lessons. You'll get there!!
