I'm applying to drama schools . Some advice/ help please#1

I've taken classes before but I'm applying for a 2 year program starting in October. I'm in the process of writing my leeter outlining why I want to do the course but I'm not happy with it. It sounds corny - I've always wanted to act , cant imagine doing anything else blah , blah. What are they looking for exactly? Anything I should avoid saying or that I should emphasise?

I'll have my audition/interview next month and I'm not too worried about my monologue but the interview scares me a little. Again , anyone have any tips for that. What impresses / gets you crossed off the list immediately?

Try explaining what you want to do, specifically, with your training. I just applied to music summer programs and I outlined for them that my intentions are to try a professional career, but eventually teach music in a high risk area.

They're investing in your training and they want to know where their money is going.

Try too what you see as your strengths and weaknesses, what you want to work on, and also why you act.
