From an amazing 3-week trip to Europe. I went to London (as well as a day in Windsor, Stonehenge, and Bath), Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Odense (Denmark, friend lives there), Copenhagen, and Malmö (Sweden). I loved it! It was amazing! In London, I saw "Spamalot" and "Avenue Q", and now that I look back at it, "Spamalot" is not that anti-Semitic, because the song is not exactly mean-spirited, and "Finland" did not bother me, I do not believe that it is anti-Finnish anymore. And I will not let "Avenue Q" winning the Tony over "Wicked" stop me from thoroughly enjoying it. It was a great show. Still don't like it as much as "Wicked", but it is not just a "show about puppets". Also, in Odense, "Annie Get Your Gun" was playing, but I didn't have time to see it, but I did ask one of the girls from the show (they go throughout the street handing people brochures about the production) to sing a song in Danish and she sang "You Can't Get a Man with a Gun" in Danish, and it was a pretty good translation. If I was in Odense longer, I would have seen it. Anyway, just wanted you to know that I'm back, and I will be posting a lot more frequently.
P.S. in Malmö, I saw a poster for "Avenue Q" in Lund! How cool is that! They're doing a tour of Sweden! Then moving back to Stockholm!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was going to crack a joke about the maid at the hotel in Gdansk looking askance at your travel plans, but that line is funnier than anything I could ever come up with.
Welcome back! How's your aunt?
Oh, taz, I forgot about the Aunt!
*goes for an unneeded sobbing*
EDIT: I start next Friday, borstal.

How can they afford 3 week theater tours of Europe is my question.
It's Emma and Jerry Zaks. Thats how.
Good for you, skb. Learn lots and--as we used to say back in the West Coast olden days--party hard.
Ha. as I said in the other thread, it's my junior year=ACT.
This should be fun.?
I wasn't even in Gdansk. I have never been to Poland, and I probably never will. There is a silent anti-Semitism there, and I am not going to places where I would not feel very safe.
It wasn't a 3-week theatre tour, I only saw 2 shows.
Welcome back, Emma! Have you see Bailey yet?
Question:
In a freaking MONTY PYTHON SHOW, how the hell did you think that the song would be mean spirited in the first place? NOTHING in any Monty Python show is serious.
But you claimed this board was anti-semitic and yet you still post.
I am not going to places where I would not feel very safe.
Then what are you doing HERE?
PalJoey, you took the words right out of my mouth!
Wait a minute, you went to London and saw TWO SHOWS THAT YOU COULD SEE HERE!?! WTF?
