Ok, here is my problem. As some of you know, I have an Apple Powerbook G4. I am having a problem that some of you might help me with. Ok, here it goes:
When I called the Apple people when I was deciding whether or not to by the powerbook. They told me that it was going to be a monthly payment of $25, and I decided to get it. Well, when the first bill came, it was $45 and I called them and was like, "You told me it was going to be $25 a month." They said, "No. We said that the minimum you can get is $25." So, I told them that I would not be able to pay $45 a month so I need to give the computer back. They told me that they do not accept computers back. So, my mom decided to pay the $45 a month. Well, this went on for a few months and then all of a sudden, I got a bill that said I owed nothing. Then month after month I got a bill saying I owed nothing. I thought my mom was paying over what the bill was (Which she was) so I was not billed. Then all of a sudden, a couple of weeks ago I got a bill saying I owed $334. I called them today and talked to them. They said the reason I got a bill for months saying I didn't owe anything, was because of a 6 month, same as cash. But, since nothing was paying during those six months I owe all of this money next Tuesday.
Here is my dillema. I didn't even know about the six month same as cash. And even if this is true, shouldn't I have gotten a bill for $45 like I had been getting for the 3 months prior. I understand that "Same as cash" means no interest, but shouldn't I still have gotten a bill? Anyway, they said that they sent a bill to me in the amount of $45 in June (Which I never received) and then a bill in July for $100 (which my mom only payed $80 of). Now I owe all of this money and if I don't pay them $334 by next Tuesday, it becomes a MAJOR credit issue. I don't have that much money (since I just started my new job and only getting payed for three days of work). I told him this and he said that I need to find relatives or something to help me because they will not lower it or push back the deadline for my next paycheck which I will be getting over $500 for. Does anyone think any of this sounds fishy or have any advise for me? Please.......I need help.
