Ugh, really disappointed Carla didn't win. Obviously, she didn't have her best day in the kitchen, but I really wished she had won.

I was no fan of Stefan's during the show, but the way he comforted Carla when she started crying was really sweet.

Can't wait to see the reunion, and I hope Carla wins Fan Favorite (if they are doing one).

I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

Fan favorite is definitely happening! I can't imagine Carla wouldn't win, but just in case, vote vote vote!

Fabio could easily win fan favorite, too.

SPOILER!

The judges made the best choice. Stefan has declined in the last few weeks. He served bad salmon, and then tried to skate through to the finale!

Carla just blew it. Mrs. Brd and I cried with her tonight, she is our fav candidate of all the Top Chefs! She will be a star on her own!

Ugh ... my least favorite won. Oh well.

I was gonna vote for fan favorite, but they ask for your cell phone number, which I'm not about to give out so I can get spammed.

Dammit. At least Carla has Fan Favorite in the bag.

The problem is she let Casey tell her what to do. The two most maligned parts of her meal, the sous-vide and the souffle that never was, were both Casey's idea that she foisted on Carla. Carla should have rejected them and made her own food.

Aside from Carla's late sprint, I thought this was an incredibly boring season. I usually watch the show religiously, but this year it was pretty much relegated to the DVR, where most of the episodes still sit.

Poor Carla. She never should have listened to Jennifer Aniston. And who suggests major menu changes for the finale meal of
the contestants? I guess she was trying to be helpful, but she should have simply assisted and let Carla sink or swim with her own menu. At least Carla will be the one who is remembered this season.

As much as I like Carla, I don't understand why she would have even listed to Casey. And really, the fact that she so willingly followed her and opted to do things that weren't her and she had never done before is almost unfathomable. And Casey should have come in an known her place...it wasn't HER competition.

But ultimately, it was Carla's job to keep her Sous Chef in line and tell her to shut up.
I feel bad for Carla, but it's fair that she lost.

Mister Matt, the first thing that came to mind was, "Carla, don't listen to Jennifer Aniston!!" Even Carla knew that was her downfall. I think Carla easily could have won if she just focused on what SHE wanted to do.

That being said, it was nice to see Stefan comfort her, but due to poor editing it wasn't very clear what either had said.

Dottie - I do think the bit of humanity with Stefan at the end was surprisingly sweet. And I agree that if Carla had simply cooked her own food, she probably would have won. She second-guessed herself and that was her downfall. I feel so bad for her, but I've no doubt she has enough fans who feel she is the true winner of Top Chef this season, regardless. I have a feeling offers are going to be pouring in for her and she will be successful with or without a Top Chef title.

CARLA!!!

She is star and I'd love to see her get her own show.

Once she agreed to do soufle instead of the tarts, which WON her her first challenge, I knew it was over, even before they burned! I think a great tart crust would've won her the whole thing, even with the bland meat dish.

Lamest finale ever. Hosea???? Really???

I'm pretty sure Carla will get "fan favorite". The only other contender is Fabio, whom I love also.

Aside from the whole affair with Leah (who I can't stand), Hosea was always a favorite of mine from the start, so I'm thankful he won. Plus, I grew up in Boulder, and he's a cutie.

But, I fell head over heels for Carla. We all loved her because she was ALWAYS true to herself. Ultimately, she failed to do that in the end, and I believe thats where most of her sadness came from. I loved what she said in the end about how she wanted to show a different, kinder way to compete, and how proud she felt to have accomplished that. I would also love to see her get her own show. I think she would be great on the Food Network.

Carla's charm and charisma is so perfect for television. If she got her own show, I'd definitely watch. Look out Rachel Ray, Carla's on her way.

It seems odd to me that any chef could get to the final round without a pretty good set of variable menus in mind. To the best of my recollection, the final challenge has always been to "cook the best meal of your life" or "wow us with YOUR food". Granted, there's always a spin (or extra dish) tossed in, but it surprises me that any of them would have gone into the final without a pretty solid idea of what their menu would be.

Hell, even I have a general plan in mind if company is coming over..

Maybe I just zoned out for a part of the episode, but it didn't seem as if they gave them a lot of time to plan a menu. Probably just editing.

What I'm saying is that if you are accepted to be one of the chefs on a season of Top Chef, certainly you have given this some thought.

She has a bit of a rebuttal to last night, and how it was edited...

Another reason why Carla is more likely to get a TV show. The Top Chef editing did not make Jennifer Aniston out to be a bad person or evil or anything. I wonder how she would feel if we got a glimpse of all her unedited footage? Good luck getting work now that everyone knows you're likely to throw them under the bus.
