I saw the new David Lynch film, INLAND EMPIRE, yesterday, and was both relieved and disappointed. I didn't loathe it the way I loathed the bizarrely over-rated MULHOLLAND DR., but it isn't exactly a return to form, either. There's some interesting stuff in it, to be sure. But it is just too bloody long, there's no reason at all for the 2 hour and 48 minute running time. Oddly, the thing that has really stuck with me is that bizarre little sitcom about the rabbits.
Anybody else seen it?
