Hey everyone...I just wanted to let everyone know about NYU's upcoming mainstage production of Into the Woods. The show is being performed at the beautiful huge Skirball Center for the Performing Arts on Washington Sq. South and LaGuardia Place.

Here's the info:
Into the Woods
March 30 to April 2

Skirball Center, NYU 566 LaGuardia Place (and Washington Sq South)

This is the same group that produced Ragtime a few years ago and Parade last year...both of which were great! I know some people in the cast of Woods and they are saying this one is sure to not dissapoint!

$25? Those are ticket prices for my high school's shows. There's a reason why we get no crowds.

There is quite a difference between a high school production and a major university in the middle of NYC. It's called economics...

I know, NYU has every right to charge $25. I was saying my high school doesn't.

mine charges 15! but i think thats only this production cuz the director went WAY over budget-lol..

Does anyone know if Megan Fernandez is in it? I think shes a sophomore at Tisch.. Shes afriend of mine and graudated from my high school .. I havent talked to her in like, forever though lol! They probably don't let underclassmen do mainstage.. but just checking

I just wanted to post that I saw Into the Woods at NYU tonight, and it was fabulous.. They were all vocal majors, but they acted and danced beautifully. Honestly, Im a tough critic, and I have no complaints. plus-- the skirball center (the new theatre at NYU) is absolutely fabulous! anyway, I highly recommend this production.

megan is unfortunately not in the show...It is the steinhardt school that is producing the show, not Tisch, so all of the performers are vocal performance majors.

You should definitely be able to get tickets at the door. My friends did that last night and there was no problem getting seats...it's a big house.

saw the show last night.
overall, i enjoyed myself. though i had problems with some of the acting...the singing was all amazing.

yeah and i thought that if the turntable played such an important part, they should have stabalized it a little better :-/ lol

but the singing was INCREDIBLE!

My favorites were Will Cohen as the Baker and who ever played the Steward. It's such a small part but I thought that he really GOT it and made the character his own. I think he may have got the most laughs...if only second to the princes. He was hillarious. Tell him congrats if anyone knows him

I adored the steward! he played it so perfectly and made it a meaningful part of the plot. My favorite, however, was the girl who played the bakers wife.. wow. her acting and singing were both pheonominal. overall there were very few things I didnt like. I didnt get that important looking moon/stone thing that was on those metal rails where the teaser would be.. what was that about?
