Any other fans of "metrosexual" Ian Thorpe here? (I'm referring to his athletic prowess, his body... anything) Just found out today that he's only 22. I would've guessed closer to 30.

I'd prefer Michael Phelps to him, but Ian is definitely hot also.

I didn't realize he was so young, he looks really old... and I also would have guessed much closer to 30.

23 on October 13th.

There was some discussion earlier today on another, less tame forum about his recent weight gain. Knowing his age, I realize that it's not so much a "weight gain" in the sensational sense as it is a boy growing into a man.

I like him and missed him and Hoogenband at the World Champs in Montreal. The swimming was so boring without them...

I love Ian Thorpe... although if I tried to lay claim to him I would be disowned by my friends. During the Olympics we all claimed a swimmer- One girl got Michael Phelps, One girl got Ian Thorpe, I had Aaron Peirsol

I also claimed Alexandre Despatie- the most amazingly cute diver in the world... plus he looked like a guy I liked so they let me have him.

The pic of him in the striped shirt is new. There are also some on gettyimages of him with a wider frame and what appears to be the beginnings of a double chin.
