Does anyone on here listen to Il Divo?? I love the new album! It's so beautiful. Did anyone watch The View today? Were they on? I heard they were going to be on so I taped it anyway.

I've only heard Unbreak My Heart, what I thought was horrible. Sounded like a bunch of noise. One guy trying to out-sing the other. A lot of noise. Perhaps others on the album are good?

I saw them do Unbreak My Heart on some show and thought it was completely embarrassingly awful. Perhaps sticking to more classical fare might work better for them.

I think it's a joke. Really. I listened to samples at Borders because a friend was interested in buying it. I was laughing so hard people were staring. It is so overproduced and just sounds silly to have all these voices singing those pop songs with a classical twist. I don't know how anyone can take this **** seriously. By the way, my friend felt the same way and passed.

Il Divo are four exceptional young men with formally trained voices who take popular songs, old and new, to another level where the historic rift between pop and classical music is finally healed. The band were formed after a worldwide search which took more than two years. Consisting of an American, Frenchman, Spaniard and a Swiss, Il Divo spent the first half of 2004 in London rehearsing and recording. Some of their songs will be familiar like "Nella Fantasia" (based on Gabriel's Oboe from Ennio Morricone's penned score of The Mission) and a unique and powerful version of Toni Braxton's "Unbreak My Heart". The four principles share the lead throughout, combining to deliver choruses whose awesome power is matched by their tonal delicacy. Passion and restraint they show to be an irresistible aphrodisiac. Reflecting the multi-national character of the group, the songs are not all sung in English but drift between Spanish, English and Italian. However they are worded, all use the emotional Esperanto of love.

It seems that every year 2 or 3 singers or groups come out that are completely manufactured by a record label, and the public wets themselves over them. Nora Jones (yes I said it!), Josh Groban, Joss (or however you spell it) Stone, Il Divo...They usually sing very stereotypical songs from that genre of music, and sell a zillion records. WHATEVER!

I love the Del Rubios. Met them, saw them live several times, mourned when they passed...THREE GIRLS, THREE GUITARS...ONE BIRTHDAY!

is Joss Stone on some commercial that's airing now? we were wondering last night if that was her...

I'm vague today - but I seem to recall her singing some older pop/jazz kind of tune in the commercial - and looking lovely doing it.

It's the GAP White Jeans commercial - not my favorite song to listen to her do, but it's fun.

Since my CD still is wrapped and has the Tower price tag on it, I think I'll return it and get something I really want.

I thought this album was amazing.. anyone who was interested in getting it- buy it! I literally can't stop listening to it. All the songs are so beatiful and they all have such great voices.

(sorry for posting late about this... I got my computer fixed because we had a virus)
