All dolled up and nowhere to go tonight?!? Well, come on down to the Starlight Room (603 Munger Ave.; Dallas, TX 75202) for Dixie Longate's 10 p.m. show. Tell the folks selling tickets that David Plunkett says you can get a ticket for HALF PRICE, and it will be so! That makes a main floor seat $15, and the general admission ticket only 10 bucks!

If you had not had the pleasure of seeing "Dixie's Tupperware Party," YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS THIS! Not only is she side-splittingly funny, she will hunt you down if you don't come buy some Tupperware so she can once again be the number-one salesperson in all of North America!

Dixie Longate (Los Angeles-based actor Kris Andersson) is desperate to return to glory, so she has packed up her catalogues, and left her children in an Alabama trailer park to journey across America with "Dixie's Tupperware Party." Dixie’s take on plastic food storage is like no other. Decidedly not your mother’s Tupperware party, the show includes outrageous tales of Dixie’s failed marriages and run-ins with the law, free giveaways and the most fabulous assortment of Tupperware ever sold on any stage. The one-“woman” tour de force, which garnered a 2007/08 Drama Desk Award nomination for Outstanding Solo Performance, was originally produced at the 2005 New York International Fringe Festival, and played Off Broadway’s Ars Nova last spring.

"I am open, and I am willing, For to be hopeless would seem so strange. It dishonors those who go before us, So lift me up to the light of change." Holly Near
