Posted: 12/8/04 at 1:01pmWhen this movie first came out, my father told me that this was pretty much his life as a boy in a small town (Weed, CA) in the 40s... he was about the same age as Ralphie was when this story took place... My dad wanted that Red Ryder and was constantly told the same thing, "You'll shoot your eye out!"

Posted: 12/8/04 at 1:24pmIt IS a great movie. If you get a chance, too, watch 'The Ref' if you've never seen it. It displaced 'A Christmas Story' as my favorite Christmas comedy...
