Just found this fun essay via Nerve.com. Funny, SMILEY FACE is Greg Araki's follow-up to his acclaimed MYSTERIOUS SKIN. It got great reviews in New York, but now its going straight to video. What a pity.
Anna Faris

"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ~ Muhammad Ali

Anna Faris is brilliant. Samantha James is the single most entertaining movie character I can think of right now. My friends and I can sit around for hours quoting Just Friends and laughing our butts off.

My name wasn't, isn't, and will never be Scott.

Anna Faris is a brilliant unsung actress.

I ask in all honesty/What would life be?/Without a song and a dance, what are we?/So I say "Thank you for the music/For giving it to me."

Is she the girl out of the Scary Movies? Those movies are my one guilty pleasure...

A little known fact is that in the original screenplay, Pan's Labyrinth was Pan's FLAByrinth. Hmmmmmmm...glad they changed it.

I watched Smiley Face the other night. It's one of the funniest movies of the year.
