Incredible News - Homophobia leads to Gay Rights!

The Australian Government recently legislated a provision that defined marriage as a union between "a man and a woman to the exclusion of all others".

However, in one of the greatest strokes of irony, this has actually provided a loophole.

Federal Laws always override State Laws, but if something is not addressed in Federal Law, states are free to legislate as they wish...


So by changing the wording of our Marriage Act to exclude us, the Federal Government has actually opened the door for our acceptance.

Nothing will happen immediately, but already the State of Tasmania is looking into possibly legalising Gay Marriage.

Which is another stroke of irony, as Tasmania was the last Australian State to destroy legislation making Homosexuality illegal, which happened in 1993...

Frist lost all my respect when he hemmed and hawed about whether AIDS can be transmitted by saliva or sweat. He's supposed to be a frickin' doctor; he knows better.
