How do you get them out? I've heard that you should use hairspray? It's very faint, but any suggestions are welcome!
Hairspray is your best best. Spray it on the stain and then let it set for a bit. It binds to the ink and then washes right out.
Hairspray works on MANY types of stains.
Does it have to be aerosol hairspray or any kind?
Any kind is fine. Saturate the stain with it.
Thanks!
Sure!
Thanks, Mandi. :)
One more question: should I spray it on now even if I'm not going to wash the pants right away? Or should I wait and do it right before I wash them? I'm so inept when it comes to this sort of thing. And they're brand new jeans, too.
Now, do it now.
Just a flicker of pressure right here on the trigger and Audry won't have to put up with that pig for another day.
It's best to let it set so it can bind. Wash in cold water.
Alos, Goo-b-gone is not a stain remover, but it is good for those gummy problems you run across. I would never use it on fabric as the oils in it will stain.
Actually, I just read that rubbing alcohol is your best bet!
You could try that but it could also affect the color of the jeans. I've only been doing costuming for the last 20 years or so....
TD knows everything about this kind of stuff.... And hair. haha. Love it.
Don't try it! I know not of what I speak!
Sorry if that sounded snatchy.
It's late.
