Jose', you hypocrite. You're always chiding people to raise the level of discourse here and not resort to petty insults. Then you post a thread that was clearly meant to insult 3 of our best-liked posters.

Now, that's one thing. People insult each other here all the time, User Guidelines or no User Guidelines. But you, sir, have moderator's priveleges on this site. I refuse, however, to call you a moderator, because in my not-so-humble opinion the job description of a GOOD moderator includes NOT picking on posters.

It's one thing for one poster to insult another- that's bad. But when a person with the power to delete threads starts hopping into the fray, something is wrong. The playing field is uneven.

I tried to be sensible about this. Despite other instances in which you have shown your spiteful nature, especially with regards to Matt_G, I assumed the best about you. But you couldn't even come up with a simple apology. Instead of acknowledging your own mistake, you accused Margo of being humorless.

You know, Margo may not be the only poster who leaves the board because of this.

When a site gives administrative privileges to someone as roundly despised as Jose', and then sits back while he clearly abuses them and does nothing about it, I have to wonder if I want to post here anymore.

I find it absolutely gobsmacking (that was for you DGrant) that if anyone else had started the thread aimed at Margo, Matt and DGrant, it would probably have been deleted by Rob or Craig as its insulting nature is so blindingly obvious. Yet, Jose' posts it, people feel insulted, it turns into a big fight and all Rob can say is "it was meant as a joke, so everyone relax and move on."? That is NOT good enough. Not good enough at all. Either something is done about Jose' or this board is going to get real quiet real fast.

No, it won't. Some of the OT folks may leave in a huff, but what will we do then? Start our own board? BWW will go on without us, I'm afraid. It won't be more quiet, but the quality of the noise will change.

I, for one, simply cannot imagine going back to a life wherein Margo does not educate me each time I read one of her glorious posts. It's been such a lovely experience, reading thoughtful and thought-provoking posts which make me sit up and take notice of things I hadn't given any time to previously. Margo, PUHLEEZ don't go. We need you here to give us a level to rise to, to make us feel better about theatre and the people involved, and to give us the occasional chuckle you so brilliantly pass our way.

This is one of the most poorly managed and administered boards I've ever come across. You can apparently do and say anything to anyone, regardless of how abhorrent, without anything be done about it. It's a damn shame!

And I fear we've lost Margo. I sent her a PM last night pleading with her to stay, but I haven't heard back from her yet. And she hasn't posted yet today. If it's true, how sad is that?

I think (power of positive thinking) that she'll be back. She needs this forumn as much as the rest of us need her to be here. I feel so bad for her and everyone else who's been attacked unnecessarily. I can take a swipe on the chin, and bounce back -thats why I just take the initiative and block those a-holes - but others get hurt too deeply and just don't know how to deal, and its those poor souls that I feel the most for.

Bite your tongue. You don't have to come here. Don't bite the hand the feeds you. This board is excellently managed, edited, and moderated. If you don't like it go over to the other sites (*sarcasm*) which are much classier and way better moderated than this.

I loathe people that would post a message directly on something created by a stranger for YOUR free enjoyment, about how bad it is. Assinine.
