Okay, folks...so I'm finally deciding on moving out of Seattle, back to Tucson to raise some $$ to move to NY >WHEW!<
I just got off U-Haul.com and the quote they gave me was $1600 for their smallest truck...YIKES that's half my savings!
Anyone know any discounted moving companies? Any other suggestions.
I've considered packing up my crap and sending it all via mail and then taking a plane home, but that is a huge pain in the a$$.
Could use some suggestions...

"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ~ Muhammad Ali

when I moved from San Diego to Chicago I only moved clothes, some books, etc....no furniture and I did it all by Amtrak.....was cheap, of course this was also 20 years ago.
The only thing about Amtrak is you need to pick it up in like 48hrs or they charge you to store it.
Does Amtrak go through Tucson?

Never do U-Haul, they have the worst service record...you never see a Ryder truck broken down, but always see U-Hauls....I used Ryder in 1999 when we moved from San Fran to Palm Springs....Did you try them?
