Deet, today's your mom's birthday? Happy Birthday D2's mom!
Today would've been my mom's birthday, too!

What was the name of that really great music store that used to be at Astor Place? They had that huge note painted on the brick wall there.
Damn, I used to go in there all the time.
Really? My mom is 87 years old today. Proof that the good really do die young.
(Sorry, I couldn't resist that.)

You bad Mr. D2!
Taz, there used to be a Tower Records on the corner of Astor and Lafayette, I think. Or maybe it was 4th and Lafayette? Now I'm not sure.

Nope.
thanks though, Deet! I appreciate it! I'll just leave it alone for today. I'm still in a mood, and I don't need the aggravation.
d2: I love how my grandmother is older than your mother.
How come all the women in my family decided to have kids late in life?
I don't know, but I was an accident.
No comments, Rath (if you're lurking.)
I was too.
My grandma was 37 when she had my mom, who was 35 when she had me.
girly, it was very close, but this was a printed music store.
It was HUGE and had everything. They went strictly online some years ago.
I don't know if it's still there, but as soon as you got the 4,5,6 at Astor place there was this huge brick wall with a clock and a music note. It was between Bway and St. Mark's place.
I remember that store, Taz, and I'm going crazy trying to remember the name. It was fabulous!
...
yea, they rows and rows of filing cabinets with hard to find or out of print sheet music.
It's on the tip of my tongue.
It had 2 initials then a name I think.
Like C.E. _____ or something.
Austin, keep that in the TCM thread, please.
I know Taz. I used to go there all the time when I was performing. The selection was astounding. And now I can't even remember the name. Dammit.
Today is my father's birthday. He's 53.
Happy birthday JG's father!
I don't remember my dad's birthday.

Happy birthday to Av parents! I'm always amused when so many birthdays overlap like this.
And we all found our way here. Coincidence? Or "nunununu" moment? Hmmm...

I just walked through my entire neighborhood in the pouring rain in my wellington boots.
I'm all wet.
I don't know if this really counts, but yesterday was my brother's birthday.
