I am just glad I was here to drive. Hell, he's 55. He needs to grow up a little.
I wish I wasn't so groggy - I might have something intelligent to say.
I'm sorry, Amber.
I hope things get better for you JG.
Rath - break a leg!
Tink - feel better.
everyone else - stay warm.
I'm going back to bed.
We can only do so much to help. They've got to take responsibility, and want to change, and all that.
My stepdad's an alcoholic, and he tried to quit for a while, but now he's back at his old habits. I still care for him, but I've stopped trying to help.
"So... one parent may have a bruised or cracked tailbone while the other either has a bruised or broken rib."
I thought that had been a reference to taz getting his foot stuck in his mom's ribcage in utero.
My dad was an alcoholic - I didn't even know he was an alcoholic until not long before he died at age 67 of, ahem, liver cancer. Looking back, I realize there were signs when I was very little. However, I didn't live in his house from the time I was eight, so of course I was pretty removed from the situation. We see what we want to see anyway.
My mom said this only started recently with the onset of issues with his business and organization. I hope last night was a wake up call. Mom's tough. She won't put up with it.
That's good then.
I was in a relationship with an alcoholic. Six+ years. I don't recommend it. Just for anyone who might be considering it around here. A little PSA for ya all.
I can't believe it's almost time to go back on the subway downtown to the theater. I'm so sleepy, dammit. I need to wake the eff up!
I think I might have the tendency to become an alcoholic.
I come from a long line of alcoholics and drunks myself -- you have my sympathy.
I lucked out - I am not a fan of the taste of alcohol, nor of the feeling of being drunk or high. I thank my lucky stars. It could have easily gone the other way.
I drink from time to time...but based on my lineage I've pretty much made it a rule to drink in excess or for escape purposes.
Ivan's company had an Xmas party a few weeks ago. By the end of it, I was downing straight up vodka. And I paid for it on Saturday.
Never again.
My puppy's trying to tear off his little piggy's tail. Poor piggy.
Don't stop till you get enough . . . BUMP!
I have the sweetest little puppy.

Not as sweet as my labby, Nitsua.
I'm so sorry about everything, Jersey. That's awful. Best wishes.
It's FREEZING out there! I decided to go star gazing, and probably stayed out for 2.7 seconds before I chickened out. Too cold!
So Hoboken wasn't that bad. Got free lunch and dinner out of it, plus twenty bucks. But DAMN is it cold out! I'm curling up under the blankets and watching the Hearn/Lupone Sweeney DVD.
Hoboken is a great place to live. All the rich guys who work on Wall St. live there. some of the apartments on the water have breathtaking views of the city.
Yeah, the views are fantastic. Cleaning my aunt's cluttered apartment... not that fantastic. Luckily, their standards are pretty low, so I didn't really do anything.
My parents and sister just took my 3 year old nephew to the emergency room because he is running a 103 temp and is throwing up. I hope everything is okay. *worried*
I will keep my fingers crossed for you, Spidey. Kids are tough and can run high fevers when not much is going on. Keep us informed.
oh wow DJ. I hope she is alright. Poor thing.
He has been running a fever all morning and we gave him children's tylenol but it just kept going up. It felt like being next to an oven. I felt so bad for him. They left about 2 hours ago so hopefully everything is okay.
Bless you all for not giving me too much to read back through.
I hope everything goes okay for all of you. I'll say a prayer for everyone tonight.
I'm out for the evening. I'll be back in the morning to check up you y'ins and we all better be in one piece, mmmmk?
I have no right to be this happy.
I'm so happy.
