Well, I have an early call time cause I have to do laundry and tend to the costumes. But I'll let you know when we get closer! I can't necessarily leave the building once I'm signed in...that's the only problemo!
Haha, Robbie, that's cool! I can certainly do all that - my problem would be remembering that long of a combination.

You think it would be tough learning the combo, but then you remember the sounds and it comes instantly. I'm one that can learn a monologue in 2 min and a dance in 5. I guess I was just blessed with the ability. I still know all the choreography to the dance auditions for college!
Can you do pull backs?
P.S. ignore my passe in that video...it was horrible!

I'll see if my friends want to go early into the city and get dinner. We can catch you before or something.
I'm excited!

Hahaha, ok! I'll let you know!
Yes, hearing the sounds is absolutely crucial for me. But it's hard for me to remember long combinations because dance is not natural for me - I started at a VERY late age. So, I think way too much instead of letting my body just go with it and do.
I can do pullbacks.

Oh, yeah, that's kind of crucial, feeling the music and the steps and just doing it. But it's ok, you'll catch on
Good, It took me awhile to get those pull backs. It was tricky...

I'm terrible with learning dances. It's horrid. I need at least a couple of hours, though a couple of classes is best.
Monologues I can do in the car on the way to whatever I'm doing. Songs too.
That's a step that came easily to me - weird, right? Not many do!

<- has no idea what a pull back is.
It's when you pull back.

I remember learning my 2 cuts for 5 monologues for all my college auditions. I would go to my voice lesson and learn them in the car before going in. I would drive straight from school which was nearby so I had little time, but I managed. I learned my Shakespearean like that! I still remember it!
I can do my whole Syracuse dance now...I did it for one of the girls auditioning the same day you did, DGG, and she was like OMG!!!!!
Oh no wait - I'm thinking of a different step altogether. I just looked that up - we haven't done those yet!

My Plymouth dance was to the En'tracte (sp?) of ANNIE, GET YOUR GUN. It was insane! I can remmeber all of my audition dances as soon as I leave, but in there? Forget it.
Thank God most schools just use them for placement.

You were probably thinking draw backs! Yea...a lot of the terms are alike. Like telling the difference between a stomp, a stamp, and a step. Or a single time step, double time step, triple time step, and double triple!
My faves are the double triples! I wish I could just tap with you Rath...would be fun

Rath is awesome!
At life, I mean. I haven't seen her tap.
I'm off. I don't have to be in until 11am tomorrow, but I have a friend coming over for breakfast at 8am.
Goodnight, lovies! *hugs*

The terminology in my tap classes never advanced passed shuffle and flap.
DRAWBACKS! Yup, that's it!
Night, DGG!
I know a stomp, stamp, and step and the differences. We've had those drilled in.

She is...I know it!
G'night!!! *hug*
Definitely not awesome at tap.

Now, I miss tap dancing. It was the only dance class I actually liked. Of course, I had no rhythm, but I had fun.
Rhythm, I got.

I still don't have the hang of stuff like that. You know when you go to a concert, and everyone is clapping along on a beat and there's that one person who's always a half-second off? That's me.
LOL! Well, I'm a trained singer, so that kind of took care of that.

Yep...I was born with rhythm...me being cuban and all
But yea...I've got rhythm, I've got music, I've got Rathy, who could ask for anything more?!
