BTW, THE APARTMENT is cute, but it's not Best Picture material.
Agreed nitsy.
So I'm importing YF into itunes and it's listed as alternative. LOL.
We need to buy more show tunes.
Our last purchase was Company, I think.
Now YF is a movie I want to see!
Ah, Gene Wilder became my favorite actor the day I saw YF for the first time.
When the '93 GREY GARDENS came out, I remember reading in Teen Beat (or one of those mags) that Elijah Wood was so distraught about not being cast in one of the roles that he cried.
The original movie or the movie turned musical turned movie musical?
We had the original movie Tivo'd, but I dunno what happened to it. I think Tivo deleted it on purpose. It might have a thing against Mel Brooks.
The YF movie is one of the funniest movies I have ever seen.
I was not really impressed with The Producers music, but I'm really enjoying this score.
The good thing about TCM is that they reair movies. YF will come on again.
I really love the YF score. It's a lot of fun. I agree, I like it better than the PRODUCERS score.
I've yet to hear YF.
Those kinda things don't end up on limewire.
Actually, I haven't looked. I'll go look now.
it's really tuneful and energetic! Spamalot used to be my "feel good" cd, but now I think it's YF.
I'm debating whether or not I would want to see YF. I think the disconcerning factor(s) with YF is that A) Gene Wilder is always going to be Dr. Frankenstein (in my mind) and B) Whenever I think of Roger Bart now all that appears in my head is the scene from The Producers where Carmen says, "If you're intention was to shoot an arrow through my heart... then BULL'S EYE!"
I do want to see Cry Baby, though. And the revival of SITPWG.
"Yes, the brutalities of progress are called revolutions. When they are over, men recognize that the human race has been harshly treated but it has moved forward." - Les Miserables
My feel good CD is either ITW or Spelling Bee.
If we're talking non-show tune, it's so "X". I could jam out to Kylie all day long.
Oh, as usual:
Those are the same 3 shows that I want to see PM.
I'm really excited for Cry-Baby.
I wish we could get to NYC.
I know for certain we're getting our butts to see Equus. Anything else is foreplay.
what?!? there's a SITPWG revival? argh!!
nitty, i feel you on Ms. Minogue too!
Me too, Taz! It looks like a rauchier version of Hairspray... and the song titles alone are amusing.
My friend made me a mix CD on which he included several songs from Spelling Bee.
I never realised how funny that show was. "My Unfortunate Erection" is such a great song to have stuck in your head, it truly is.
"Yes, the brutalities of progress are called revolutions. When they are over, men recognize that the human race has been harshly treated but it has moved forward." - Les Miserables
Guido, the SITPWG revival is supposed to be absolutely stunning.
I do hope I'll manage to see it.
I love "I'm Not That Smart". It's precious!
I really love "prayer of the comfort counselor"
"...mitch mahoney!"
there is a chance i might be in bee this summer
Jack, no kidding?
In Florida?
Megan Mulally, that bitch can sing!
YF was cute but I preferred The Producers....SITPWG was beyond amazing. I was not expecting to enjoy it as much as I did. It was just beautiful. And I, too, am very excited to see Cry Baby. I wish I had known then that I was sitting right behind most of the main cast of the show at the final A&A Rent. I recognized Hanke, but had not clue who the rest of them were until I saw the first press photos for the show.
