Home from rehearsal, and sick as a dog. My throat has never hurt this badly, and doing "First Midnight" over and over didn't help.
I'm going to bed. Night, lovies.
Drink some tea with honey in it. And if you put a drop or two of hot sauce in it it REALLY helps. Disgusting, I know. It's worth it though.

Hot sauce...?
Really?!
Hot sauce is for congestion, isn't it?
I agreed to an audition for tomorrow - a director I've worked with before invited me to audition for her next show. But I don't know what kind of music she wants me to sing - sure do hope she gets back to me on that soonish.
Yep!
When I get really sick, I make what is called my "special tea."
It contains:
Half orange juice
cranberry juice
3 throat coat tea bags
2 slices of ginger
a dash of cinnamon
a couple dashes of hot sauce
and some honey
so there you go. I know it sounds awful, but it honestly doesn't taste that bad. Just a cup of that a day and you will be cured in no time!
TRY IT :)

I have throat coat at home. I'm not a tea person and it certainly doesn't taste very good (throat coat)!
I agree, Robbie. It's disgusting. I don't understand people who think it tastes good. It tastes like hot dirty liquid cardboard to me.
Yes it is EXTREMELY disgusting, but that is what the orange juice and cranberry juice are for. You can't even taste the Throat Coat. But you can basically put any kind of tea bags you want in it.

Now question...is there water in this little cocktail of yours?
A friend of mine got comp tickets to the first preview of Evil Dead. We... walked out at intermission.
No water. Just juice...and all that other stuff.
There is something about the hot sauce that really helps sore throats I guess. All I know is that it helped mine. :)

So you stick the tea bags in the juice?
Yep!, and I know it sounds weird, but try it. I'm not a tea drinker either, unless I'm sick... but I'm telling you IT REALLY HELPS!

I should try it over spring break, when I'm at home. I still have the box of throat coat sitting in my pantry
Must... not... make... teabagging joke...
