I'm new to the "Is That You In Your Avatar?" threads, but I just thought I would say "hi."
I had a horrible week school-wise. Last Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday I had shows for Thoroughly Modern Millie and I am wiped out.
So this week I had a French test on Wednesday, an Algebra test, Biology test, 3 pages of notes for an Asia: East & West paper, and English paper due on Thursday, and an Asia: E & W test, English test, and Biology lab report today (Friday.) Not to mention nightly homework... So, I'm really wiped out!
But now I have 2 weeks of vacation and I'm hoping I'll to NYC to see a couple shows!

Just got home from the show...sigh...I'm tired. I had to take over another kids track cause he was out, so I had all these major quick changes :/. I got through them, though!

I was amazing tonight - in a show/room full of amazing people, I was a standout. And yet, I'm giving up pursuing performing, right when I'm really blossoming and coming into my own.
Crazy how life works! I'm very happy though. I don't think I'd ever dreamed I could be so natural on a stage, singing a song I've only performed once before and have barely ever rehearsed.
My teachers, who haven't seen me perform since I auditioned for the dance program almost two years ago, are also pretty happy.

I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

Whoa I just missed the whole Rath leaving the the biz. That kills me, but Taz is right, it's what's right for you. I couldn't picture myself leaving the biz, if it's not performing, I'll be designing sets or something but I doubt I'll ever stop performing.

Posted: 3/15/08 at 12:44amI'm not leaving show biz. I'm just not pursuing performing. My day job is in the biz and I'm pretty committed to it. And if offers come along, I'll take them - in fact I was asked to audition for something last week and I went, and small performing opportunities continue to come my way. I'm not shutting it off - I'm just not actively going after it at this moment.

I had rehearsal two weeks ago from 3-9 PM. On the weekend, 1-5 PM on Saturday and 11-8 on Sunday. But, of course that was tech week...
