Posted: 5/14/08 at 8:34pmIf it's any consolation, DGG, I saw 13 in LA last year, and in my humble opinion the show is a gigantic piece of crap. You didn't miss much.
Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)

I'm not too upset about that. I live right in town where its playing. I can see it any time. I just feel bad for standing up Jay*. I've never done somethign like that.

Well, first of all I have to say that I am definitely NOT the target market for 13. But that said, I found it to be derivative at best, and insufferably cute at worst. It plays like an Afterschool Special, and while I think it is a great way to bring young audiences into the theatre, it would be better served if it were to tour smaller theatres and/or the junior high school circuit. At Broadway prices, it's too slight.
