Why on earth would you want a hot tub on this stinking hot humid night, Harris?
That's where I'm thinking about getting one! I think it probably wouldn't be among the least painful places to get one, but I don't think it would be too bad if you really wanted to do it. A good friend of mine has the exact latitude and longitude of the house she grew up in tattooed on the underside of her wrist. I think it's really cool.

That's awesome!
What do you want to get on your wrist?

I can't imagine the pain involved in getting a tattoo. I don't even have my ears pierced.

I feel like piercing an ear wouldn't hurt too bad, I mean, that's what my friends have said.

I almost did it sometime during college and then chickened out. I'm such a baby.
That's the problem, I can't decide what to get. I have too many ideas. I mean, I don't think I'd be too mad at myself for any potential bad ideas I got tattooed on, but still, it is kind of the thing you want to put some thought into.
On my wrist, I was thinking of just getting a word or two from "Song of Myself," because I love textual tattoos and something that shape would be easier to hide with a watch or something just in case I was in a situation hostile to body art. What about you?

A friend of mine was getting a tattoo and she was told to make a drawing of whatever she wanted and put it in a place that she sees everyday for a few months to see if she gets sick of the design before she got it put on her body.

I wanted an anchor, like a tiny one.
It's something that goes back to when I was little. My mom gave me this necklace with a little anchor hanging off of it and it was something I've always loved and treasured. So, yeah...but I don't know.

I suppose I would get a tiny butterfly, now that I think about it.
Hahah the key word in all of this being tiny.
I was so scared to get mine, and while I was getting it (during the more painful parts) I was like ahhhh what did I get myself into? But literally the second I walked out of the studio, I was like, "So when are we going back for seconds?" They say it's an addiction, which I tooootally believe. Of course, I haven't gone back yet... but then, that's more because I'm broke than anything else.

The thing about tiny ones is that they bleed. I just don't want to have it be a problem in the professional world. That's why I want it to be small. But I don't think it'd be that noticeable.
The 'rents said they'd kick me out of the house...haha... oh well.

It totally is an addiction. My brother has at least 7.

Yeah, especially since he regrets some of them now.

I love those best friends that go in and get tattoos together only to get into a fight months later and never speak to one another.

Schadenfreude.
I love that Kimberly Stewart (Rod Stewart's daughter) got one that says "Daddy's Little Girl Loves Cisco," for Cisco Adler. Then they broke up... and she had it changed to "Daddy's Little Girl Loves Disco." Classy.
I figure if I keep mine to references to either poems, books, plays, or things from my childhood, I'll be safe and not regret them later.

I LOVED it!
I had one of those "I need to be in this show at some point in my life" moment!

I hear that. My life will not be complete until I've played Kate Monster in some community theatre production somewhere.
