Good morning, lovies!
morning everyone.
Good morning! I woke up and Ivan had bought me Dunkin' Donuts! YAY!
I had a breakfast sandwich, the really good potato things and OJ.
Ivan's such a sweetie.

Hey all.
How's the musical, Nitsy?
Morning(ish), darlings!
What musical?
No, um, I've outlined it, but when I start writing the scenes, I find myself getting frustrated. It might help if I had the lyrics to put in, but Ivan's been too busy with work.
I'm now working on this historical drama set in 1930s Las Vegas. It's a screenplay, which I'm more comfortable writing.
The musical should really be a movie, but do you know how many original movie musicals are made every where? Not many.
I think ONCE was an original musical, but I haven't seen it. Regardless, ONCE isn't a big budget, period piece.
Once was an original musical (and an amazing one at that), but a. it was very nontraditional and b. they made the entire movie for about $160,000 (or the equivalent, anyway).
Yeah... there's no way in Hell Willow Wild would be made into a movie, unless I did it myself.
I don't have the skills or the money, so that ain't gonna happen.

In today's money $160,000 translates to 100,000 euro, which is what we use here. However, at the time it would make it more like 120,000. Nonetheless, that's not correct. I believe it cost in the region of 250,000 euro. Most of that was a donation by our national broadcaster, RTE.
Eh, I could be wrong. I thought I'd read that on IMDB (not that that's a reputable source), but when I just checked it had the budget at an estimated 180,000 euro. Whatevsss.

Ah, if that's right then the figure I must have heard of 250,000 must have been dollars.
Either way, it's not really a musical, is it? It's a film with lots of songs.

DAD!
Hi loves! I'm celebrating my last day of vacation by saturating myself in show tunes and Holst, and eating cake with tea. I love lazy Sundays.
*the cows bring in lemonade*
It seems very quiet here today.
And rather emotional, too.

I'm not emotional! (for once!)
Hi PM!
Hi DGG! How goes, dearie?
Hehe, I was just commenting on all these emotional threads. It's quite amusing.
Funnily enough, I'm not that emotional either.
A bit stressed, but what else is new! :-P

Haha! Same here! Just pounding out a scholarship essay, as usual.
How are you, m'love?
Oh! Scholarship essays are fun! Well, essays are just fun in general, y'know!
I'm all right... just a bit unnerved at my parents... but very excited about tomorrow because I'll see gay boyfriend and the guy my friend is setting me up with.

Oh yeah! I'm having a blast pretending to be smart to solicit money from strangers! Woop!
Ooh, sounds fun! I wish I had a boy right now. You haven't met him, then? That ought to be really fun!
Aye yes, soliciting money... always fun!
I've met him once before (actually, on Friday) and last night we chatted on AIM. He seems very nice, and it'll be good to hang out with him some more. He likes Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Once More With Feeling so we already have that in common.
And I'll let you borrow my gay boyfriend! (He isn't actually my gay boyfriend, per se, my friends just call him that).

Haha, thanks! I pretty much have a couple gay boyfriends already, but I could use another, I'm sure!
Thats good. That should be a fun date. I mean, he likes Buffy! What could go wrong?
I swear, I wake up with "What do you do with a B.A. in English?" in my head every day. It won't leave me alone. Urgh.
Hehe, I entitled a blog post on Myspace as "It sucks to be me".
I'm not sure when we'll go out on a date, but apparently he told my friend that he wanted to talk to me and he thinks I'm cute. And he's lonely. And wants a girlfriend. So who knows, we may be having ourselves a date next week! It's good to be open minded about this kind of thing. But for now, we're just chatting.
And I'm convinced one can never have too many gay boyfriends.
The other day I woke up and I felt horrible, and the first thought I had was, "I really need a hug from my gay boyfriend right now!"
I got to run off to church, so if I don't talk to you later on, have a good night, sweetie! [=
