Today in my AD class (American Democracy) we were talking about third-party candidates and one of my male friends (who I've basically been in love with since we started high school, he is my male counterpart, he literally has the male version of my name) said something about Ralph Nader and my teacher compared Ralph Nader to a recent Communist party candidate. Then my teacher said, "Y'know, those poor Communists...they just have trouble raising money."

Funny or not?

I've been in a car all day driving back with my friend from her school and I get home and this gay Republican starts IM'ing me and trying to convince me that I should be voting for Rudy Giuliani. What did I do to deserve that?

Okay, it wasn't a "comparison" as much as just relating the two because they were in similar time periods and were both third-party candidates. It was a segue. He was also takling about H. Ross Perot and a few of the other '90s small-time bidders.
