Opera, Taz. Experimental Opera.
And Disney World? And a cruise?
ETA: No, I was not a problem child. Why do you ask?
Yes, but Stagey, don't you go cruising without your family sometimes?
ARGH!!!!! I'm itching!!!! This is the worst torture in the world!!!
Ok, sorry, back to the previously scheduled discussion
I have never gained an appreciation for Philip Glass' operas.
In fact I never got the whoe minimalist trend at all.
Me either, Taz. It's payback for making him go to MARY POPPINS.
D2'sJ2 didn't like Mary Poppins, I take it?
lol. Well, at least you'll get some sleep.
In all seriousness though, it should be visually exciting.
Tink must you make everything about you?
I, for one, enjoy Glass' scores. THE HOURS haunted me for days afterward.
He didn't love it. He doesn't really like tunes.
if it was all to be about me, stagey dear, I would complain that the subject thing no longer says "We will miss you, tink"! :)
I need to see a true opera. I saw Pirates of Pen. earlier this year with Marc K. but that was not a true opera. But I did enjoy it and the whole scene, so I am really interested in seeing a real production.
Ah, okay Deet.
Tink, I've never seen an opera either.
Tink, I'll take you.
Glass' film scores are nothing like his operas SM.
Tink, you should try to get tix to one of the operas at the Met.
They have the translations on a screen on the back of the seat in front of you so you can follow along.
Incidentally, Tink, did you read the little prayer I posted on your behalf a few pages back? It was in Latin first, but I changed it to the English version.
TESTIFY!!
We'll go to an easy one, with tunes. Like LA BOHEME - the "real" RENT.
Stagey - I didn't know you translated it, but it was very sweet! :)
D2 - yay! let's go! I would see La Boheme, or well pretty much anything. I also want to see a ballet.
Stagey is a bi-cunning-linguist, Tink.
oh cabaret!
ETA: Awwww, subject thingy is back! But we will miss you too D2! Or will you still be posting from Cooperstown?
Probably not.
But I won't be missed as much as you will be missed, Tink.

Actually, for a group with only two remaining original members, it was pretty awsome! We had great seats, and could see back stage the whole tiem too. Really fun!
The casino went all out and actually created a sandy beach in ront of the stage, and for a higher price, you could sit there, and they gave you a prize pack. Fun to watch! Also, the Beach Boys' assorted grandkids sang and danced, which was cool.
Soooo...opera? I saw an opera once. Turandot. Really cool!
